XSIM Downloads

XSIM is no longer being actively developed. The versions available for download were built several years ago and may not be as compatible with, or run as well under, current revisions of the operating system. For example, the Linux version of XSIM available here works well under Redhat 7, but less well under Redhat 8, 9 and EL. How well XSIM performs, or if it runs at all under Linux distributions other than Redhat is not known by us.

NSR's JSim product, the Java-based successor to XSIM, is being actively developed, and is available for recent releases of the Windows, Macintosh and Intel-based Linux operating systems. JSim has much of the same functionality as XSIM, and now runs many classic XSIM models (mmid4, msid4 and gentex, for example). In addition, JSim has many nice features not available in XSIM, such as simple model-building and customization procedures, as well as contour and colormap plots. JSim does not yet have every feature that XSIM does, but missing XSIM-like features are presently being added.

For more information about JSim, see the JSim Home page. For information about how to run classic XSIM models using JSim, see the JSim Fortran Package page.

Please fill out and submit the form below to request or renew an XSIM license, which is free for non-commmercial use. The license will be emailed to you at the address you provide.
