NSR Simulation Analysis Workshop 2002
A course in applying modeling to the analysis of flow, transport, and reactions in metabolizing cells and organs: 23-25 September, 2002 at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Workshops conducted by the National Simulation Resource in Circulatory Mass Transport and Exchange are designed to train investigators in the use of computer simulation and modeling as aids in understanding biological systems and as tools for analyzing data. There will be two major themes for the NSR Workshop 2002:
A. General principles governing intravascular convection, membrane transport, and metabolic reactions in in vitro studies and in studies of whole organs;
B. Analysis of time-course data, including parameter estimates and error analysis.
There will be considerable "hands-on" computer work during the workshop using JSIMStudio, a graphical user interface for simulation control and analysis developed at NSR. Participants are encouraged to bring problems and data from their own research to be considered during the workshop.
Tuition: $300 (covers supplies and reception).
